Dreama Hawkins, Executive Director, Founder​

Dreama has worked in the advocacy field for over 30 years, as a community based advocate for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, suicide, drug and alcohol addiction. Dreama worked for a local nonprofit agency for three years where she gained over 250 hours of training.  She has worked as Program Manager, Community Educator, Volunteer Coordinator, Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Victim Advocate, Answering the National Suicide Hotline, RAINN Hotline, and The Veterans Hotline, Support Group Facilitator, and Lead Advocate for SART (Sexual Assault Response Team). Dreama is a nationally Certified Trainer for Living Works and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Techniques (ASIST). Her education and training include:

*Bachelor of Science in Psychology, 2019 - Present

*Licensed Practical Nurse, Lexington School of Nursing, Lexington, Kentucky,

*40 Hours as a Certified Trainer for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 2019.

*213 Hours of Training in Advocacy, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Trauma Informed Investigations, Addiction and Recovery, Suicide Prevention, Group Crisis Intervention and Assisting Individuals In Crisis with The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, Action Alliance, Region III West Wellness Council, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services, ICISF - UMB Training Centers, Southwest Virginia Legal Aid, Children’s Advocacy Center Council, National Council for Behavioral Health, and the Office of Victim’s Assistance.

*60 Hours of Training for the National Suicide Hotline, RAINN Hotline (The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), and The Veterans Hotline.

*56 Hours of Training for the Sexual Assault Response Team, and Companion Training.

*CASA Volunteer Training, Kingsport, TN.

*Trained Instructor, Living Free program, Tri-Cities Recovery, Bristol, VA. As an addiction recovery specialist.

Dreama is a business woman, a retired nurse, an ordained minister, and a volunteer for CASA 4 Kids, Inc.

Renee Ragan, Administrator, Co-Founder​

Renee has spent the majority of her adult life in volunteer service to victims of crime, abuse, homelessness, hunger, and neglect. She is a compassionate and empathetic advocate who is committed to healing and alleviating suffering by advocating for the vulnerable and those in need. Before working in a nonprofit agency she volunteered for a year answering the National Suicide Hotline, The RAINN (Rape Abuse Incest National Network) Hotline, the National Veterans Hotline and the local hotline.

Renee is a trained PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Advocate, a trained suicide interventionist as well as an advocate for victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Renee has worked as a Volunteer Coordinator, Administrator, Support Group Facilitator, and Trainer. Her hands on approach to advocacy is to use her life experience to provide support to victims of abuse, to work in an organization committed to community support, and to cultivate change in an effort to afford individuals the support and information needed to obtain safety.

Renee has completed the Crisis Center Hotline Training, she is trained through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association as a Children’s Counselor, she is a trained instructor and Facilitator with the Living Free program, Tri Cities Recovery, Bristol, Virginia, as a drug and alcohol recovery specialist.

Renee has over 200 hours of training with PREA, National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Department of Criminal Justice Services, Action Alliance, Region III Wellness Council, the Office of Victims Services, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services, ICISF - UMB Training Centers, Southwest Virginia Legal Aid, Children’s Advocacy Center Council, and the National Council for Behavioral Health. 

Renee is furthering her education by studying Human Services at the undergraduate level, and she is a volunteer for CASA 4 Kids, Inc.
